Recipe: Baking Powder Biscuits

Today was Foodie Friday number 4, and it was also my city’s first snow! What does cold snowy weather bring? The craving for warm drinks and homemade baked goods! I took the opportunity today to go out, stock up on tea, and come right back home to brew some and make some fresh biscuits. That leads us to today’s recipe for Baking Powder Biscuits.

These biscuits are one of my favourite easy recipes. You can serve these as a side to almost any meal, and they make a great accompaniment to a hot cup of tea. I mentioned on a previous Foodie Friday that I had made cheese biscuits, I used this recipe and simply topped them with shredded mozzarella cheese before baking. Today I served them fresh out of the oven with butter. These buttery and fluffy biscuits may be enjoyed in a number of ways, including the ways previously mentioned, with jam, or any other topping you please.
